SHW Casting Technologies GmbH operate two plants in two separate locations:

The Königsbronn Plant is specialized in the manufacturing of calender rolls for the paper industry which count for more than 60% of the Plant's turnover, in rolls for various other industries, and in parts for grinding mills from highly wear resistant iron alloys.

The Wasseralfingen Foundry makes high precision hand moulded castings. The prime line of products there is large engine blocks of diesel motors used for ship propulsion and electric power generation.

SHW CT Incorporated is a 100 percent subsidiary in Torrington, CT, US. The company manufactures various types of rolls from bodies cast in Königsbronn, and services all SHW CT rolls in North America in its fully equipped roll shop.

It ist SHW CT's philosophy to hold or to endeavour technological leadership in the fields of their core competences. Numerous patents which are actually put into practice, and the achieved market share prove this. All major machine builders in related industries relay on components supplied by SHW CT: e.g. Metso Paper, Voith Paper, Küsters, Mitsubishi, Kobayashi, Loesche, Polysius, Pfeiffer, Wärtsilää, Rolls-Royce, Caterpillar, just to name a few.

The turnover in 2006 has been approx. 80 Million Euros (approx. 110 Million US$) - an increase of 16 percent over 2005.

About 380 empoyees work at the three plants.
